(no subject)

I've been thinking about this post that I read yesterday. I am still angry about it, even though Michelle posted a response saying what we both thought about that entry. It just annoys me that someone could so completely miss the point of the series. But then I started thinking, I went into the series expecting to have about the same opinion. And I have yet to admit in my journal that I like the characters that were insulted in that post.

When I first got the A&E version of the Scarlet Pimpernel I had already read the book and seen the eighties movie. And listened to the musical. But despite all that, I decided in advance who my favorite character would be. I had decided I wanted to have one, and I decided that after I saw the A&E version I would make Tony my favorite character because he of who played him. Instead, when I watched the movie, something unexpected happened. I discovered that I also liked Percy and Andrew, and they were the first favorite characters I chose. Tony is one of my favorite characters, but because of the eighties movie, not the A&E movie. And Percy is the character I like best out of all my favorite characters from any series. I just haven't been able to admit that until now. I should be grateful to that entry for making me realize the truth.

Anyway, I need to get off now, because I'm at the library and I just got my paycheck so I have to go put it in the bank.
