Mar. 29th, 2004 07:10 amOkay, I'm tired to trying to come up with real things to talk about, but I do have a few. And, then, later, during one of my breaks today, I will talk a little about my new fandom. I would also like to do a meme that I saw in some other people's journals. Plus, I have seen some fandom memes that I would like to try.
About two weeks ago now, I went back to Florida for the week, to prepare to move back there. I followed up on some job leads the first few days. In fact, in fact on Tuesday, I drove from Pasco County to Lake County, and I drove around Lake County. I mean, Lake County is nothing compared to Montgomery, but it was where I first learned to drive, and this was the first time I was comfortable driving there. Despite the fact that they really need to finish the eternal constuction on 441. From what I could see there was no change in their progress between December 8, 2002 and March 16, 2004.
The best part of my break, was that I got to spend Thursday and Friday with
sierrablue. We talked about getting an apartment together next year, so hopefully that will work out. I also got to go out to Saint Leo a couple of times those days. The first day was because that was where we'd arranged to meet. During the time spent on campus that day: I saw one of my teacher, both priests, and a few other people I knew. The next day, I hung out in the library while
sierrablue was in class. One of the libraries recognized me, and I saw one of my classmates. So, that was a little weird, trying to explain to all those people what I was doing on campus. Oh, and I have leaned that the Walmart tire place is not a good place to go when you're in a hurry. At least, the one in Zephyrhills isn't. During the time we were waiting to get in, they had the worst service for the people outside waiting in line.
Anyway, I was back in Montgomery all last week, and had an especially difficult week at work. It was Spring Break here, so kids were coming into the library all day, and messing up shelves as soon as I'd straightened them, plus returning huge piles of books. Then, everytime they took a book off the shelves, they either left it on the table, or stuck it back on the shelves at random. It took me until Saturday to get the children's section back under control. I am hoping my next job might be less of a labor position, even though I have really enjoyed this job. Except for last week.
