lothinielflowermaiden: I don't know if you're coming on tonight, but I'll be on at least until 12:30, so let me know if you come on and can talk.

annabella: Hi! Just got on.

lothinielflowermaiden: Oh. We haven't really talked for a while, have we?
I've actually managed to get some work done on my stories in the past week.
And one of my favorite characters might have died on Monday night. (And I won't find out for five weeks.

annabella: Oh, geeze!!! That will be like a lifetime! No, we haven't talked in a while. I haven't been on lately, except a little during the day.

lothinielflowermaiden: Oh. I've been on during the day, kind of, but I'm always in class, or off with my friends, it seems like. I feel like I actually have a life. And, interesting enough, my stories have been easier to write lately. I just wish I didn't have to go back into the cycle of worrying about my favorite characters.
Especially considering the character who may have died is my newest favorite character. And what happened to him is way to close to something I was afraid would happen to one of my other favorite characters.
Are you there?

annabella: Oh, boy! A life!! LOL! Great! I knew you'd make some friends sooner or later. What do you mean? The same type of death?

lothinielflowermaiden: Well, sort of. More like the situation that may have led to his death. See, the character that might have died is my newest favorite character, Wesley. I think I've mentioned him before. He got hurt really bad after doing something that could be considered a betrayal against the other main characters on the show. And the main characters on the show are kind of like a family, in fact he called them his family in the episode. So he betrayed his "family" and now he might die. Does that sound familiar?

annabella: Oh, yeah! What we had in mind for Percy.

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. I told one of my friends about that, after we watched the show. Because some of my friends have read the Harry Potter books. (And, I actually told them who my favorite characters were. )

annabella: Good for you! Finally shared your favorite characters with someone, and found out we all love our favorite characters. That's really interesting how you had that idea, and it is now being used in a tv story. Great minds, eh? lol

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. It's really ironic, though, considering how Wesley became my favorite character.

annabella: Yeah!

lothinielflowermaiden: Remember I said that he'd been compared to one of my other favorite characters?

annabella: Yeah, I do remember.

lothinielflowermaiden: Well, I didn't want to say at the time what character he'd been compared to. But he was compared to Percy. And there are some similarities between them, that are noticeable when Wesley was first on the show. Since then, Wesley tends to remind me more of Julian. (Julian is my favorite character from Star Trek: Deep Space Nine.)

annabella: Hmmm. Well, since they have similarities, it's pretty easy to see why they're all your favorite characters.

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. It is. I've got a group of I think four characters now that kind of remind me of each other.

annabella: I find similarities in some of my favorite characters. Usually, it is a personality trait.

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. I've noticed that with three of those four characters. I mean, the things about Wesley that remind me of my other favorite characters are all personality traits. And, interestingly, all three of those characters are British.

annabella: That is interesting. Mine could be any nationality, age, and even sex, but they usually have some trait in common.

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. Well, mine are a mixture of nationalities. Four are British, two are American, two are French, and the rest are all from someplace other than Earth.

annabella: lol Yeah, since you read a variety of books, and a lot of fantasy.

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. Right. It's funny, the majority of my favorite characters used to French. And now, the majority of them are British, at least the majority of the ones from Earth. And, with the exception of Julian, they've all been chosen within the past year.

annabella: You must have been reading some good books, and watching some good tv shows this past year.

lothinielflowermaiden: Well, what I meant was, I've chosen three favorite characters in the past year, and they're all British. And two of them are very similar to each other.

annabella: Yeah, that is interesting. Hmmm. brb one of the kids are calling me.

lothinielflowermaiden: Okay.

annabella15692: back

lothinielflowermaiden: Oh. Well, I've been looking at fanfiction tonight, and I've read two stories about Wesley's death and only one in which he lives. Although, in the past days, the majority of the fanfiction has had him live.

annabella: Well, that's good, that most had him live. Could be very depressing, otherwise.

lothinielflowermaiden: I know. I have having my favorite characters die. But I think I've told you that before, right?

annabella: Yeah, and I hate the same thing happening to mine.

lothinielflowermaiden: I think everyone does.

annabella: I cried, when I read an old biography on Sir Wm Wallace, and I knew he died! lol

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. Well, I still haven't accepted Enjolras' death, as I discovered today in my English lit class.

annabella: Oh, really? Well, how do you think I'll be, if JKR makes Professor Lupin or Sirius Black die in her books!? I'll hate that!

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. Well, I'll feel the same way if Percy dies in those books.

annabella: I'm pretty sure she won't kill Harry. Yeah, I know you will.

lothinielflowermaiden: We've been over that, haven't we?
I wonder if that's part of the reason what happened to Wesley is bothering me so much. Because it's so close to what I'm afraid will happen to Percy.

annabella: Yeah, I have a feeling that's true.

lothinielflowermaiden: It's funny, though. I've associated those characters since before either one was really my favorite. Since before I knew anything about Wesley other than his name. I've kind of associated their names, even.

annabella: I was thinking the same thing with the names, but didn't mention it--forgot to. lol Weasley, Wesley.

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. I wondered if you noticed that. I did, a while ago. Plus, I don't think I've told you Wesley's full name.

annabella: No, I don't think you did.

lothinielflowermaiden: His full name is Wesley Wyndam-Pryce.
Long name, huh?

annabella: Yeah! Impressive. Rearrange the last name, though, and it's Percy, isn't it. lol

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. Isn't that interesting.

annabella: Yeah, very!

lothinielflowermaiden: Well, that's not all. I mean there's the coincidence with their names. The other similarites between them that I mentioned earlier. And, there's a connection between them that only shows up in my stories.
Oh yeah, and they're both British.

annabella: I wonder if the writers like Percy as well, and it's not a coincidence?

lothinielflowermaiden: I don't know. It's interesting, though. And it could be not a concidence. The connection that only exists in my story is a coincidence, though, since that connection only exists because of one my original characters.

annabella: Yeah, but you may think along the same lines as that writer. Which is also interesting.

lothinielflowermaiden: No. That is just so wierd about their names, though. Do you remember one of the pairings a while ago, that we kind of came up with in a conversation.

annabella: Which one?

lothinielflowermaiden: Percy and Cordelia. (Remember, we came up with that when I wanted to work Kris and Cordelia into a crossover with the Harry Potter books.)

annabella: Okay, that's who I thought you meant.

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. Well, my friends and I have a bunch of pairings that we are using for the shows Buffy and Angel. We're calling ourselves the hopeless romantics because we have all these pairings. But, there was a character on Buffy, who is now a main characteron Angel, named Cordelia Chase. And, in the third season of Buffy, Cordelia and Wesley kind of had a mutual crush on each other. And, then, they both became main characters on the other show. So, I decided I wanted them together. So, there's the other coincidence.

annabella: Oh, yeah! That is a strange coincidence! lol

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah, and then there's the coincidence of what happened to Wesley, and how it's similar to what so many people think will happen to Percy.

annabella: That's for sure!

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah.
Yeah.

annabella: So, since a professional writer/s had similar ideas, you must have much more insight to characters than you thought you did.

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah, I guess. You know, those coincidences would bother me even more, if it wasn't for the fact that I do have one favorite character that I chose in between them. So, at least, they won't chosen that close together, although I think they were supposed to have been.

annabella: What do you mean by that last part?

lothinielflowermaiden: I mean, I think Wesley was supposed to have become my favorite character back in the fall. I had a few opportunities to get into those shows, then, and I think I was supposed to. Because usually characters that are so similar are chosen at the same time, or with no others in between them. And I do have a favorite character that I chose in between them.
Sorry, if that's still confusing. I'm getting tired, and I still don't have my story for tonight.

annabella: lol No, I figured it out!

lothinielflowermaiden: Oh. Well, it's just that the character I chose between those two, seems to have no connections to any of my other favorite characters. However, I don't know if I can continue on with this topic, and make sense. I know one thing I'll have to do, sometime. I'll have to do a fanfiction story, using those similarites between those two characters.
I don't know if that makes any sense, though.

annabella: sorry. dogs were barking, and I had to shut them up before they woke my husband. Didn't get to read it, yet.

lothinielflowermaiden: Oh. Well, it's mainly something a story that I'm going to have to try sometime.

annabella: Oh, okay. It made sense.

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. If I could come up with an idea, that could expand on some of that. I've seen crossovers between the series. But, I'm lucky if I have any favorite characters in those crossovers.

annabella: Well, you could come up with a crossover story! You're good at those.

lothinielflowermaiden: I know. I'll have to think about it, won't I?

annabella15692: Yep!!

lothinielflowermaiden: Well, I might be able to expand on some ideas I've seen online in other stories. Or maybe take one of those an go off in a slightly different direction.

annabella: Whichever you do, I am sure it will be interesting.

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. I think that might be my next story, after I finish the Mithgar fanfiction story I'm working on.

annabella: Good project!

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. Right. Along with my story to get all the pairings I want, to avoid how messed up things have become on the show. Although, I could combine those. Put the pairings I want in the crossover.

annabella: Well, I think you will be more than capable of writing such a story.

lothinielflowermaiden: I'm beginning to think so, too. And doing stories that make sure the recent events don't happen, makes me forget how worried I am about Wesley. And, I'm afraid that even if he lives, the other characters will never forgive him. Although, I don't know why I'm worrying about that, when the episode that's on in five weeks is called Forgiving.

annabella: lol Pretty much tells what's going to happen, then.

lothinielflowermaiden: Yeah. I know. My one consolation.

annabella: Yeah! lol

lothinielflowermaiden: I can't reallly think of much else to talk about right now, and I'm getting tired, so maybe we should end this for tonight.

annabella: Okay. We can talk again.

lothinielflowermaiden: Okay. Talk to you later. Night.

annabella: Night!

Losing hope

It's getting harder for me to believe that Wesley is still alive. More of the fanfiction stories are saying that he died, and one proved that he doesn't have to be alive to be forgiven. Even the stories where he doesn't die, say he's in critical condition and might not live. And most people who watch the scene say he looks dead. But he has to live. He has to. I'm not ready to lose him.
